These Devon Blue hens have been a part of our flock for two years now but it’s time for them to find new homes are we are expanding in a different direction. This listing is for two hens hence the price of £45 as we would rather they go in pairs (they have never been separated before).
 
They are just over two years old now. They mostly lay blue eggs however there is the odd olive egger hen within them. These girls are always the first to begin laying at the start of the year and lay much more consistently than most of our other hens including mid-summer and around the winter months [they do briefly stop laying in the darkest months].
 
They can be a bit skittish when frightened but are also very friendly and curious making them perfect for free ranging. They are hardy birds, have been free ranged with ducks, chickens, and geese (so are used to lots of other characters within a flock!).
 
They have plenty of egg laying life left within them, but we are looking at increasing the number of pure breeds we have so moving away from hybrid hens.
