These are a mixture of what has been laid on the day and could include Cayuga, Silver Appleyard, Aylesbury or whoever else has been laying on that day. All hatching eggs are freshly laid on the day. Although we change our ducks bedding frequently and try to pick the cleanest duck eggs for hatching please note due to the nature of ducks that these eggs are dirty - dirty eggs do NOT make a difference to our hatch rate. 
 
As seen within our own hatching, the Cayuga genetic is really strong as many of our own ducklings have got black bills and feet, as well as partially iridescent feathers. All of our hatched ducklings this year have had gorgeous one of a kind colours and markings.

We are not accepting any unwanted drakes back due to avian flu risks (waterfowl don’t often show symptoms) so please only buy hatching eggs if you have a plan for any unwanted drakes! We have sexed ducks available throughout the year if you would rather wait and buy a guaranteed female.
